SUBJECT: Chapter 4 Life

GROUP: Trompies

TYPE: Kwaito/Amapiano

ANALYST: CHARLES KHUZWAYO

IF you listen to this new album of these kwaito artists, you can deny that they started playing this music since 1995. It’s been more than 30 years since they caught fire in kwaito.

Actually the Trompies started with five members – namelySpikiri, Mahoota, Donald Duck, Jakarumba and Mjokes. It was a hot hit with the fat he said I’m From There, I’m Not Afraid, Sweet Lavo with us Find oute. It has become history that Mjokes passed away in a car accident on his way back from performing at an event on May 23, 2021.

However, his colleagues continued where they left off. In this album with incomplete songs, Trompies paid tribute to Mjokes in the song We Still Alive.

Before the exit ofChapter 4 Lifethe Trompies first heard the words out loud with the title track It’s a dreamthe same as Nokwazi Ntuli and Stoan.

Capturing old fans and attracting new ones, the group is said to play favorite singers in various genres of music. That’s why there are famous piano artists like Kabza De Small, Reece Madlisa, Dr Lamandro, Skotts Maphuma, Toss, Bhudescar, General Official. Kabza De Small is in many songs.

Kabza De Small says Bhemisa, What do you want to do? and in us I’m sorrya. Kwesta in the song We Still Alive with us It’s a dream. Although it still sounds like the Trompies, the piano rhythm is more dominant. So if you’re into Trompies music and the beat that’s getting worse these days, this EP will explain it to you.
