OpenAI Has launched a new feature Personal Finance Experience in ChatGPT. With its help, users will be able to link information about their bank accounts, credit cards, investments and expenses directly to ChatGPT. OpenAI says that the new feature will show all this information in one place, so that the user can easily understand where his money is being spent and how to plan for the future.

In this system, users will be able to link their financial accounts through a secure service called plaid. According to OpenAI, more than 12 thousand financial institutions are currently being supported. Once the account is connected, ChatGPT will show a dashboard showing expenses, investments, subscriptions, upcoming bills and other financial information. Users will not be limited to just viewing the data, but will also be able to ask questions to ChatGPT. For example, one might ask, how much do I need to save every month if I want to buy a car next year? Or which subscriptions can be discontinued to reduce my expenses? After this, ChatGPT will respond keeping in mind the user’s income, expenses and goals.

You can also save financial memory

OpenAI said that users can also ask ChatGPT to remember things related to their financial plans. For example, someone may say that he is saving money to buy a house or wants to repay a loan taken from family. ChatGPT will save this information as a financial memory, so that future conversations can be more personal and useful. However, if the user wishes, they can delete these memories anytime.

Arrangements for privacy and safety also

The company has also emphasized on security and privacy. OpenAI says that ChatGPT will only be able to view information like balance, expenses, investments and liabilities. He will not be able to see the complete bank account number nor will he be able to do any kind of transaction. Users can disconnect their accounts at any time, after which the data will be removed from the system within 30 days.

This feature is based on the latest model

  • OpenAI said that this feature is based on GPT-5.5 Thinking model.
  • It has been specially designed to understand complex economic questions.
  • The company has investigated it in collaboration with more than 50 financial experts.
  • Psychologist Dr. Richard K. was among the early testers of OpenAI. Son said, “Linking my finances with ChatGPT helped me understand how I can repay my home loan with a smart monthly plan.”

Will also be able to get tax advice, credit card application

The company believes that in the coming time, ChatGPT will not be limited to just giving advice, but will also be able to help in tax advice, credit card application and investment related work. Currently, the Personal Finance Experience feature has been launched as a preview for ChatGPT Pro users in the US. The company says that after the initial experience and feedback, it will gradually be extended to other users also.
