Sergeant Fannie Nkosi will be remanded in custody until Monday, April 13, following her appearance at the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
Nkosi was arrested on Thursday, after police raided his home in Pretoria North. He spent a long weekend in peace.
The court granted the State’s request for an adjournment to verify information related to his bail application.
Nkosi, who is an officer under the organized crime unit in Gauteng, is one of the people who testified before the Madlanga Commission.
National police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said their raid was part of an ongoing investigation.
The authorities went on a search and seizure mission at Nkosi’s house, where it was reported that they seized a number of illegal items, including firearms, illegal ammunition, a bomb and dockets from different police stations.
