THE slogan “he ate Jesus, he ate Satan” became famous when the actor Buyile Mdladla, who is Gabriel Gigaba in the playGenesiswho revealed that he is a reborn child of God.
Buyile spoke like this when he was released to the theater on the YouTube Channel i-Engineer Your Life with Lungelo K. He said he was introduced to Christianity by his wife, who he has been married to for 15 years.
“I am married to a wonderful wife who is the one who brought me closer to faith. She made me understand the importance of being a servant of God and the importance of worship,” he said explaining his journey.
He said his wife came at a time when things were going wrong in her life, and she changed her life.
“I was now a pit that could not be smelled. People are saying that I have fallen forever, I will not get up again. When I talk about people, I am talking about my family that abandoned me. I am talking about family members that I didn’t know before I met my wife. They were talking bad about me.”
Buyile said that God has rescued him many times from difficult situations.
“I was once tempted by Satan in marriage, I found myself dancing with Satan, I was in a different place but God gave me a second chance,” said Buyile who said God’s love came down to his wife who forgave him for his mistakes.
Continuing, Buyile said that accepting Jesus as Savior also helped him to return to the field of acting that he had abandoned. “Everything that has happened in my life, is not my wisdom but God’s grace.”
He said that if Jesus was not in his life, he would probably be swimming in sin. Buyile said it helped him launch a religious program on SABC 1.Spirit of Sundae on Sundays, because he finally understood all the religions that exist in this country.
Regarding the recent noise and the proposed law to control the religious congregations, he said that he is in favor of the government controlling the churches because it means that they are paying taxes and there is order.
