Kaizer Chiefs (0) 0

Orlando Pirates (2) 3

Orlando Pirates won again in the Betway Premiership beating Kaizer Chiefs 3-0 in the match at FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Zimnyama’s goals were scored by Tshepang Moremi, Oswin Appollis and Evidence Makgopa in separate halves.

The Kings started Bruce Bvuma in the sticks because Brandon Petersen just had surgery this week. Rwandan goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari was sitting on the bench.

The Blacks took the lead in the fifth minute when Moremi’s shot hit Flavio Silva’s leg and went into the net.

They got their second goal six minutes before the break. Appollis found the ball on his own on the left side of the box, and stuck it in the middle while facing Bvuma.

The third one was scored by Evidence Makgopa, who came off the bench, heading in the ball that was bent by Moremi in the 78th minute.

This result put the Pirates at the top with 41 points in 18 games. Amakhosi are still in fourth place with 30 points from 17 games.

Imamelodi Sundowns, who are in second place with 38 points from 17 games, will face Sekhukhune United at Loftus Versfeld on Sunday at 3.30 pm.
