The South African action-drama series Spinners won in the best foreign TV series category at the 29th Shanghai TV Festival’s Magnolia Awards in China on 28 June.
The Showmax original series beat other globally popular series such as HBO’s critically acclaimed Succession, Aspergirl, Elsa Morante’s La Storia and All Creatures Great and Small.
The Magnolia Awards are considered one of the biggest TV award shows in China, along with the Golden Eagle Awards and Flying Apsaras Awards.
