Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt has said that those software engineers who are still writing code by hand have been left far behind in the race. The era of coding by writing line by line is gone forever.
‘I also used to do coding with my hands’
In a recently surfaced YouTube video, Eric Schmidt said that when I was 20 years old, I used to write code with my own hands. Then I thought that nothing could be better than this. But now the AI system has completely changed my thinking.
‘Change has come in the tech industry’
According to Eric Schmidt (REF), the tech industry has seen a big change in the last 6 months. He said that all this has happened because of Artificial Intelligence. The programmers who are still following the old path and writing code by hand have been left far behind in the race. Engineers must now harness the power of AI. Eric told that he has himself seen the power of AI in writing code.
‘AI’s work astonishes’
According to TOI report, Eric Schmidt said that he himself is stunned after seeing the work of AI. Schmidt has asked managers of many companies to ask their teams why they are coding the same way as before.
‘AI will increase work efficiency’
Schmidt expressed hope that by using Artificial Intelligence in work, the speed of work will increase manifold. He said that earlier an entire army of engineers used to be involved in developing an app. The app used to be ready after working for many days, but now AI has changed everything.
