A move by Woolworths to make some of its cafes cashless has sparked outrage in some quarters.
A move by Woolworths to make some of its WCafés cashless has some customers in a froth over no longer being able to buy their favourite morning cappuccino or sandwich with coins or notes.
An image of some signage in one particular WCafé noting it was stopping cash payments from 16 January circulated on social media at the weekend, sparking outrage among some customers.
The signage in question said the move was part of a “global responsible business initiative that prioritises customer and staff safety”.
