Second innings centuries from captain Laura Wolvaardt and senior batter Sune Luus could not prevent the Proteas from going down by 10 wickets in their one-off Test against India in Chennai on Monday.

The Proteas were bowled out for 373 in their second innings on day four, but that left India with just 37 runs to get for the victory.

The damage was done before the Proteas had even started their first innings after India had posted a massive 603/6 declared having won the toss. It was always going to be a mountain to climb for the South Africans from there, and they did themselves no favours when they were dismissed for 266 in their first dig and asked to follow-on.
