  • The Real Housewives of Durban two-part reunion airs on 15 and 22 May.
  • MaBlerh has returned as host for the reality TV series.
  • The cast of RHOD is seemingly ready for the reunion and won’t hold anything back.

In a week, viewers of The Real Housewives of Durban will witness season four’s reunion, and the ladies will not hold anything back.

The reality series ended with accusations of witchcraft, infidelity, control and alcoholism being at the centre, especially at the last dinner at the Zambian desert organised by wealthy businesswoman Sorisha Naidoo.

In a statement shared with News24, newcomers Ameigh Thompson, Angel Ndlela and Zama Ngcobo said they were nervous about their first reunion.

Zama, who has been involved in some of the season’s biggest feuds, said she won’t run away from anything that happened.

“I am not a coward,” she said. “What I said on the show is how I feel. People think I won’t show up to the reunion because I am scared. I am not. I am going to go in there and speak my mind. I will not be intimidated by anyone.”

Though new to the group, Zama butt heads with the few ladies on the cast, new and old.

Ameigh said the show made her stronger and more resolute in her decisions; she also said watching herself was interesting.

“The journey has made me realise that I am the person I have always known I am. I have been through a lot as a person and a mom, and I hope that my story has helped other women who are in similar situations. There is a light at the end of every tunnel.”

The ‘baby’ of the group, Angel Ndlela, said she was looking forward to the reunion.

“I am glad that I will have the chance to tell my side of the story, while providing clarity where needs be.”

She said being part of RHOD was an amazing experience.

Nonku Williams, who has been doing this for four years, previously told News24 she would flip the script this season and said she has always been her authentic self.

Nonku said:

I am still here because I understand the assignment. Some people come here and want to be what they are not, and that is why it does not land. I will always be me, and that is my superpower.

Sorisha Naidoo said she was done making peace where there is none.

“I know what my boundaries are, especially when it comes to friendships. I know who my friends are and I know the people I want to move forward with. And that takes the load off me because I don’t have to please everyone.

JoJo Robinson, who joined the show in Season 2, impressed RHOD viewers this season. She was known for her outbursts, but in Season 4, Jojo came correct.

“Season four has been very relaxed for me. I had a very intense Season 3, but just like that, things changed. I’m glad I came back.”

Maria Valaskatzis and Slee Ndlovu, who joined the show in Season 3, have been at the centre of some of the ladies’ scuffles this season.

“My game plan for this reunion is just to speak the truth,” said Maria. “I am not going to tiptoe around anything and anyone.”

On the other hand, Slee wants to investigate what was said about her.

She added:

My biggest thing for this reunion is the witchcraft accusations; I need the people who accused me of that to tell me what they mean by that because I am confused and offended.

For the second time, MaBlerh will host the show’s two-part reunion, which airs on 15 and 22 May.

Social media users criticised him, saying he did not hold all housewives accountable in the last reunion.

“If you watch the show, you will realise that there are camps, and that means that the fans will be in camps as well. Not everyone is going to be happy when I call on their faves to account,” MaBlerh said.

“The only funny thing this time around is that I am already being criticised, and the reunion has not even aired yet. I have no horse in this race; I love all the ladies.”

“If I am to choose a side, it is the side of the show. I need to deliver the most entertaining reunion, one that sparks debate and opinions. If that is achieved, my work is done.”
