Saturday, 31 August, marks the anniversary of Princess Diana’s tragic death in a car accident in Paris.

A new documentary – titled Who Killed Diana? – will delve into the events surrounding the death of the People’s Princess 27 years ago.

According to Deadline, the documentary will feature rare and, in some cases, first-time interviews with several key sources connected to the accident that caused Diana’s death.

EverWonder Studio and film producer Emma Cooper’s Express Film company have joined forces for a compelling three-part series. Express Film, the company behind the Netflix documentaries Depp V Heard and The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe, brings its expertise to this new project.

Bafta-nominated Cooper will direct and executive produce the documentary.

Deadline further reports that the documentary will be part of a larger franchise dedicated to investigating the shocking deaths of iconic figures. This series aims to uncover new information about the circumstances leading to their deaths while examining the human stories and historical context at the heart of these cases.

“Exploring legendary women through investigative journalistic documentaries is a passion of mine,” said Cooper.

Just as we did with The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe, we’ve taken a story the world thought it knew and uncovered hidden truths. I am committed to approaching this beloved and iconic woman’s story with fresh perspectives, new voices, and previously untold information.
