What is rare is for Zionists to unite in music and praise

NORMALLY the congregations of Zion meet when there are music competitions, and wedding services to which each other is invited for the purpose of arguing about who gave the most, and which congregation is clean and sings better than the other.

But something different and unusual happened at the Zion Worship Experience, a gathering held at Faith in The Word Ministries, Kenville, Durban on Saturday – which was aimed at building unity in the different congregations of Zion and praising God together.

This gathering, which was held for the first time this year – was jointly organized by the five most famous Zionist churches namely CCAC Ministries, Throne of Grace, River of Mercy Ministries, Six Winged Nyonini and Burning Fire of God.

The excitement and interest of this gathering was proven by the crowd of guests who attended it from different places, and even from other states.

The event opened with the music of Morning Star Ministries, which was not on the list of the five, but which turned out to have asked to support the event by performing, and donated R25 000 to buy 100 tickets to help fund the event.

After that, the entertainment program of the five churches that organized the event continued, going in and out of the stage and entertaining people with music that has a message of hope, and that reveals and highlights the presence of God; it was broken, it was good like that.

One of the organizers of the event, Mr. Mhlengi Ntshapa of River of Mercy Ministries, said that they were always concerned that there are no gatherings where Zionists meet without harm – to praise God and grow each other.

“That’s why we felt it was important to meet like this with the aim of building unity, and strengthening relationships in the different Zionist congregations – to help kill the enmity, undermining and collusion between us,” said Ntshapa.

The leader of the CCAC Ministries, Archbishop Mlamuli Zondo said that they hope that what they have done now will encourage other Zionist churches to support and follow their vision to help the Zionists grow and increase their unity.

Ntshapa said that they are now looking to build on what they have done to help the Zion Worship Experience not only be for certain churches, but grow until it is done in big places like ICC, Durban – and then extend to other provinces.
