Traffic into Cape Town is being diverted after a truck carrying 27 tons of apples overturned on the N1 inbound on Saturday morning.

Cape Town Safety and Security MMC JP Smith said the accident happened just after the Koeberg interchange.

“Emergency services have been deployed, while several road closures have been effected, causing a tailback. Feeding routes onto the N1 have been diverted into surrounding roads.”
