The South African Weather Service has issued a warning of damaging winds in parts of the Northern Cape and a risk of fire in some regions.

Impact-based warnings

Yellow Level 2 Warning: Damaging winds leading to localised damage to settlements (formal and informal), as well as a risk of localised runaway fires, are expected over the central and eastern parts of the Northern Cape.

Fire danger warnings

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places over the western parts of the Free State and North West, the northern parts of the Northern Cape, the north-east of the Western Cape, as well as places in Limpopo.
