The popular actor Neels van Jaarsveld and Gerna Peterson, his fiancée of the past year, got married on Saturday.

The couple shared a series of wedding photos on social media with a message that read: “Die Van Jaarsvelds. 02.05.2026.”

A host of celebrities congratulated the couple on their big day, including Cintaine Schutte, Peach van Pletzen, Christel van den Bergh, Nadia Valvekens, Sandra Vaughn, Albert Pretorius, Rolanda Marais, Deon Lotz and Diaan Lawrenson.

“Wonderful! Many, many congratulations, you two. May your love only grow deeper with the years ahead,” said Nicola Hanekom, who opposite Neels in For the birds played, wrote on Instagram.
