To celebrate US National Eggnog Day on December 24, make some delicious eggnog at home following this easy-peasy recipe.

• Start making eggnog by whisking some egg yolks in a bowl. You can either use a hand whisk or an electric blender to gently make the mix. • Next, add sugar and whisk until the mixture becomes fluffy and the colour changes a bit.

• Then, take a pan and boil milk with some cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Adding cream to it is optional. Stir the milk and cook on low heat for some time.

• The next step is very important where you need to temper the whisked eggs by pouring about half of the cooked milk. Once done, add the mixture of milk and eggs back to the pan with the leftover milk.

• Turn on the gas, cook it for a couple of minutes, and let the texture thicken a bit. • Once cooked well, strain it and keep it aside for 1-2 hours.

• Add some vanilla extract, whipped cream, and a pinch of cinnamon powder, and serve!
