500g of prawns Salt Turmeric 1/2 lemon 2 tbsp of coriander seeds 1 tsp of cumin seeds 1 tsp of black pepper corns 1 tsp of fenugreek seeds 1 tsp of mustard seeds 1 tsp of poppy seeds 10-12 Byadgi/Kashmiri red chillies 5-6 cashews 1 inch ginger 10 garlic cloves 1 tomato 3-4 tbsp of ghee Curry leaves salt

Marinate the prawns with salt, turmeric powder and lemon juice. Keep the prawns aside.

Soak the dried red chillies after removing the seeds and cashews in hot water.

Dry roast all the spices. And then blend the spices with garlic, tomatoes, cashews and ginger. Make a paste.

Add ghee into a pan and roast the freshly ground masala paste well. Once the masala gets a deep reddish-brown colour, add the curry leaves.
