Achari Aloo Sabzi

Chef Kunal Kapoor shared a tangy  and flavourful Achari Aloo Sabzi recipe on Instagram, and here’s how you can make it at home. 

Ingredients 

½ kg baby potato 4 tbsp mustard oil ¼ tsp methi seeds 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp jeera 1 tsp fennel seeds ⅓ tsp kalonji 2 tsp chopped garlic 2 tsp chopped ginger 3 green chillies ½ cup chopped onions Salt 1 cup curd 2 ½ tbsp roasted besan ½ tsp turmeric powder 1 tsp red chilli powder 2 tbsp chopped mix pickle 3 cups water

Here’s What You Need To Do 

1. Cut the baby potatoes into half and dump them in water for some time. 2. In the meantime, take a pan and add mustard oil to it. 3. Once the oil is hot, add methi seeds, mustard seeds, jeera, fennel seeds, and kalonji to it. 

For Some Flavour 

4. Next, add chopped garlic, ginger, and slit green chillies. 5. Then, add chopped onions and cook for a few minutes. 

Add The Star Ingredient

6. Now, add the potatoes & salt to taste. 7. Cook evenly and cover with a lid. 8. Let it cook for 4-5 mins. 

For The Masala

9. Take curd in a bowl and add roasted besan, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and chopped mix pickle to it. 10. Add water to make a runny paste. 

Bring It Together

11. Add it to the pan and let it simmer on low-medium flame till the potatoes are well cooked and the gravy thickens.
