While dal bati churma is a Rajasthani classic, now many people know about sweet desserts like Doodh Ka Kheech that are quite famous in this part of India.
Chef Aruna Vijay took to Instagram to share the recipe of this dessert and here’s how you can make it at home.
1 cup whole wheat (washed, pounded, and skin removed) 2 cups water 2 cups milk ¾ cup sugar 1 tsp cardamom powder Few strands of saffron 2 tbsp ghee Fresh rose petals Chopped pistachios
1. Soak whole wheat overnight. 2. Pressure cook it in water for 3 whistles.
3. In another pan, combine milk, cooked whole wheat, and cook until the mixture thickens.
4. Next, add sugar, cardamom powder, and saffron strands. 5. Mix well.
6. Lastly, add ghee and mix. 5. Garnish with fresh rose petals, chopped pistachios, and saffron strands.
And that’s it. Your Doodh Ka Kheech is ready to be served and enjoyed.
