8 Renamed Metro Stations In Dubai You Need To Know!

Previously: Palm Deira Renamed in 2020 for better navigation, Gold Souq Metro Station connects you directly to Dubai’s famous Gold, Spice, and Perfume Souks.

1. Gold Souq

Previously: Al Fahidi The Green Line’s former Al Fahidi station is now called Sharaf DG. If you’re heading to Dubai Museum, Heritage Village, or the Grand Souq, this is your stop.

2. Sharaf DG

Previously: Al Khail The latest renaming on the Red Line! Al Fardan Exchange, a financial services giant, now holds the naming rights. It serves Dubai Media City, American University of Dubai, and Emirates Golf Club.

4. InsuranceMarket

Previously: Sharaf DG & Mashreq This station on the Red Line has had multiple names. Now branded as InsuranceMarket, it features the mascot Alfred and serves Al Barsha and Al Sufouh areas.

Previously: Al Rashidya The starting point of the Red Line, Centrepoint, took over Al Rashidya’s name in 2021. It has a free car park and serves the Al Rashidya community.

Previously: Dubai Marina & DAMAC Properties SOBHA REALTY secured the naming rights in 2021. Located near Sheikh Zayed Road’s Interchange 5, it’s a key stop for Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Lake Towers.
