Johannesburg councillors believe there is no real plan to get water back into the taps during ongoing maintenance at Rand Water.
Overall maintenance began on 22 June and is scheduled to end on 29 July.
Councillors met with Johannesburg Water at 14:00 on Friday to get an update on the system, but heard there was no estimation of when the water would be back.
