Some female security guards who claimed their contracts were terminated without reason stripped off their clothing during a protest in the hope of getting the Gauteng Department of Health’s attention.

The South African Cleaners, Security and Allied Workers’ Union (SACSAAWU) secretary-general Diphapang Potsane said the move was not planned.

“We were also surprised when our mothers and sisters decided to undress themselves and remain naked for almost two hours,” he said.
