Gautrain workers affiliated to the National Union of Metal Workers SA (Numsa) are angry that executives have received bonuses, saying they also want significant salary increases. 

Workers began protesting outside the Gautrain maintenance workshop depot in Midrand from early Monday morning, saying they would strike indefinitely. They arrived after 05:00, and burnt tyres and some debris outside the depot.
