Cricket South Africa’s (CSA) director of cricket, Enoch Nkwe, said conversations with former speedster Shabnim Ismail and all-rounder Dane van Niekerk had taken place, with the view of the duo returning to the national women’s team.
Ismail, who turns 36 in October, hasn’t dipped in pace and continues to be a sought-after bowler on the women’s T20 circuit, despite her retirement after last year’s T20 World Cup final.
