The V&A Waterfront has been given the green light for a five-minute fireworks display on New Year’s Eve after it successfully appealed the City of Cape Town’s decision to withdraw its noise exemption permit.
The permit was withdrawn last week due to a “number of objections” the City had received.
V&A Waterfront spokesperson Donald Kau said the City manager, as the appeal authority, upheld the internal appeal.
