Google Translate now supports translations in nine official South African languages following the addition of Tshivenda and siSwati.

This forms part of the expansion of the Google Translate service to an additional 110 languages, the US tech behemoth said in a press release on Thursday.

The group is using an artificial intelligence model to build translation capacity for the top-thousand most-spoken languages in the world.
