Two men have been arrested in connection with a burglary at the offices of police detectives in Bhayat Street, Rustenburg, in January this year.

The duo, Lucky Mdluli, 33, and Keabetswe Jan Sikwa, 43, were apprehended last week and appeared separately in the Rustenburg and Lehurutshe Magistrate’s Courts on Friday, on charges of burglary and possession of suspected firearms.

North West police spokesperson Colonel Adele Myburgh said the pair stand accused of breaking into the police station, stealing laptops, electrical equipment, two firearms, and a safe earlier this year.
