The crime scene where Bongeka Bidi was murdered.
Western Cape police’s Serious and Violent Crimes Taxi Violence Unit arrested two people on Tuesday morning for the murder of Bongeka Bidi, a City of Cape Town environmental health practitioner.
Bidi, 41, was gunned down in her silver Toyota Fortuner, which was parked in the lot outside the Strand municipal office just after 08:00 on Monday.
News24 at the time reported that an unknown man approached Bidi on foot, took out two firearms and fired several shots through the driver’s side window. He then drove off in a white Opel Astra.
