Tshwane firefighters on Tuesday morning discovered two badly decomposed bodies at the bottom of an elevator shaft in a government building as they were rescuing a man who had fallen down the hoistway.
At around 04:32, the Tshwane Emergency Services Department was notified about a fire at the GPG building on Pretorius Street.
Department spokesperson Thabo Charles Mabaso said firefighters found the building was not on fire, but that a man had fallen down an elevator shaft.
