A truck in Cato Manor crashed into a flat after the driver lost control on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services in Durban had to use the jaws of life and other hydraulic equipment to rescue the driver of a truck who was trapped in a wreckage on Wednesday.
ALS paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said the truck driver lost control of the vehicle and drove through a fence before ploughing into a block of flats in Ridgeview, Cato Manor.
He added that the truck driver, who was severely injured, was treated by advanced life support paramedics, while the Durban Fire Department and the Netcare 911 rescue unit used the jaws of life to free him.
