Transnet has R26bn maintainence backlog and still struggles with poor asset controls, AG says

Transnet reported on Monday that its annual loss widened 43% to R7.3 billion in the year to end-March. There was a maintenance backlog of over R6 billion and an accumulated backlog of R26 billion, the office of the Auditor-General of SA told MPs.
