The warning for high fire danger conditions over the Kheis and Dawid Kruiper local municipalities in the Northern Cape remains in place, according to the South African Weather Service.

The weather in your region

Gauteng will be fine and warm but hot in the extreme north.

The expected UVB sunburn index is very high.

Cloudy conditions are expected for Mpumalanga at first, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and cool to warm.

Limpopo can expect cloudy conditions in the east at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm temperatures are forecast.

Fine and warm to hot temperatures are forecast in the North West, becoming partly cloudy.

The Free State will be fine and warm.

Cloudy conditions with morning fog patches are expected in the west of the Northern Cape where it will be cool.

Otherwise, fine and warm to hot temperatures are forecast.

The wind along the coast will be a moderate to fresh south-easterly.

The Western Cape will be cloudy with morning fog along the west coast, becoming fine and warm.

Otherwise, cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to warm conditions are expected.

The wind along the coast will be a fresh to strong south-easterly but a moderate south-westerly is expected along the south coast.

Warm
conditions are forecast for the western half of the Eastern Cape,
otherwise it will be cloudy and cool with fog and light rain in places south of
the escarpment, clearing in the north.

The wind
along the coast will be a light to moderate westerly, becoming moderate to
fresh south-westerly in the afternoon.

The eastern
half of the province can expect fine weather north of the escarpment, otherwise
it will be cloudy and cool with fog and light rain in places.

The wind
along the coast will be light westerly at first, otherwise a light to moderate
south-westerly is forecast.

KwaZulu-Natal can
expect morning fog in places over the interior, otherwise cloudy and cool
temperatures are forecast, but warm conditions are expected in places in the
north.

Isolated
showers and rain are expected along the coast and adjacent interior.

The wind
along the coast will be light and variable at first, otherwise it will be light
easterly to south-easterly.

It will
become moderate southerly to south-westerly south of Durban from late morning,
spreading northwards.
