More than 400 chiefs of Mzimkhulu are planning to march, complaining of being beaten up by a mob because of the salary issue.

Earlier, it was revealed that the non-paying chiefs under King Ntobeko Msimethiru and King Velile Jozana.

The spokesperson for Mzimkhulu chiefs, Mr Bheki Dzanibe, said It is a country that at the beginning of the month they plan to have a march that will be held in Pietermaritzburg.

He stated that they finally reached this decision because they clearly saw that they were not being heard at all when they spoke about this issue.

He said they believed that their standing up would make a difference and finally the chiefs’ cries would be heard.

”We want this march so that there will not be a single chief of Mzimkhulu who does not participate in the march. All the chiefs will go out to it. We want the elders’ cries to be heard. There is no other time than this,” he said.

Continuing, he said that he believes that they have cried enough, so the time has come for them to show through their actions that they are tired of seeing the chiefs of Mzimkhulu living a difficult life in this way.

”People don’t know how much work the chiefs do in the community. But the way it is happening it seems that no one cares about the chiefs of Mzimkhulu. It is very sad that in order to be heard, such old fathers who have homes have to end up thinking of leaving their homes and joining the march just because no one is willing to hear their cries,” he said.

He swore and asserted that they will not remain silent but will fight to the end to finally lead the chiefs of Mzimkhulu.

He singled out the Department of Fueling in Cooperation with Indigenous Leaders led by the Minister Rev. Thulasizwe Buthelezi and said that it is the one that seems to be marginalizing the chiefs of Mzimkhulu.

”Who knows what the chiefs of Mzimkhulu are doing to whom as they are being punished so harshly. However, now we will not make the big mistake of wasting time talking, but we will be seen by actions as we are just starting with this march that will take place soon,” he said.

It is a country She once reported on the brutality that Mzimkhulu chiefs are facing for not getting paid. When King Msimetiru spoke toOf this country regarding this issue expressed great concern about this situation.

He revealed that they did nothing to try to lead the chiefs of Mzimkhulu but their efforts were just like pouring water on a duck’s back.

Chiefs who spoke toOf this country they asked that their names be withheld and said that they will definitely be part of the march. They said that there is a glimmer of hope that this will cause everyone to know about the situation of the chiefs of Mzimkhulu.

“You know there are some people who don’t know that the chiefs of Mzimkhulu don’t know their salary at all. Who knows, maybe something good will happen if we march. We are tired now of living a life like this, we live as if we are foreign children,” explained another chief.

Another one insisted that this upcoming march would be just the first. It said that if a few months pass and the difference is not visible, they will do everything in their power to ensure that they return to the same march.

”We want to march until we get what we want. We are determined to fight with everything we have,” he said.

Earlier Reverend Buthelezi speaking about this issue stated that they are working on it and will fix it. He was speaking at an event in Mfulamhle in December.
