They were lured by the police wanting to go to the March and March Point

THE police drew a red line yesterday, saying that no one will go to South Beach (Point), reprimanding the March and March protesters, who wanted to go there as it is full of immigrants.

This comes after he warned of the danger that we may not be able to control the situation if the protesters, who are fighting against illegal immigrants, go to that area, which is considered to be a hub for immigrants in Durban.

The founder of March and March, which completed a year since its establishment yesterday, Mrs Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, said she was not satisfied with what happened.

He said what they see is that government officials and the police think they are playing for themselves as they are just protesting.

“I don’t see that they see what we are crying about. If they see it, they know that at the end of the day, we will obey their law,” said Mrs. Ngobese-Zuma.

He blamed the government officials for the failure of their desire for their march to go towards the Point, saying that they had promised them in the negotiations that if they did not go to this place, the Police Commissioner in the province, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi would come to talk to them, and say what will be done about the problem of illegal immigrants?

“We gave them four routes, all of which would pass through the Point. We had a reason for that. Drugs are rife over there, body sales are questionable over there, immigrants who entered the country illegally, they are full there, even those who disrespect them,” said Mrs. Ngobese-Zuma.

He said that even hospitals and schools, which appear to be full of immigrants, are in that area.

“When we talked to them, we made it clear that we wanted to pass through there. There are buildings in that area that were taken by them. We wanted to pass through there and remind them that this is our country,” he said.

He said they want to know what the police are protecting in that area?

He went on to say that they were embarrassed that Mkhwanazi could not be seen, and lamented that even the Mayor of the city, Mr. Cyril Xaba, could not be seen.

The founder of ActionSA, Mr. Herman Mashaba, said that the issue of illegal immigrants has been damaging to the country for some time, and he said that the actions of March and March as well as other public bodies are applauded.

“Enough! Enough! Our people are suffering. We have about 12 million people who are unemployed, our youth are being destroyed by high-level criminals, who saw an opportunity to make our country a place to play,” said Mashaba.

An activist for the preservation of things related to humanity, Phakelumthakathi, said they will remind the government that the citizens of South Africa are its children, not immigrants.

“We will always remind him. He is the one who should take care of us more than the immigrants,” said Phakel’umthakathi.

He said that the increase in the number of people in the March and March protests brings great hope, and he said that their spread in different areas, preaching one gospel, indicates that the immigrants will be defeated.

“The government is no longer listening to us because there are too many immigrants. We can see that they are now thinking that they can vote for him and rule, but he does not know that since he has been in charge all these years, he will no longer rule because the people have realized that he does not care about the people,” he said.

Giving an example that the government seems to be fighting with the people of this country, he said that as they are protesting, a lot of policemen have been released to guard them, while they don’t see the same number being released to clean up all kinds of crimes that he said happened in the Point.

“Immigrants sell drugs here, smuggle people, steal children but nothing is done,” said Phakel’umthakathi, who said that these are all the things they want to prevent.

He also complained about the women of this country, whom he called his sisters, and said that they married people they did not know.

“We are fixing those things. We will eventually win it. The current government will leave and people will be elected by the public,” said Phakel’umthakathi, who said something called an immigrant would leave the country.
