There is something wrong with Kaizer Chiefs players whose contracts expire in June.
The Chiefs, who are struggling these days due to the results that leave the fans disappointed, must decide on the future of the players whose contracts expire in the next three months.
Among these players there are pillars like one of the best goalkeepers in the league this season, Brendon Petersen who is said to have been given a new contract, Pule Mmodi and Dillan Solomons who seem to have a future in Chiefs because of what they have done this season if they are given games.
Among these players who are out of contract, it is difficult to ignore the fact that they came with a lot of love, including Gaston Sirino, but still some Chiefs fans still forget him because he spends most of his time injured. His frequent injuries deprive Chiefs of the experience he gathered winning titles with Mamelodi Sundowns in previous years.
Some of the players who are out of contract in Chiefs grew up in their kindergartens, namely Bruce Bvuma and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, which should not be happy for this team that they did not reach where it was thought they would reach.
Ngcobo is one of the fans’ favorite players because of his skill. However, he did little for this team on the field. Bvuma, who competed for the jersey with top goalkeepers including Itumeleng Khune and Daniel Akpeyi, has not yet reached the expected level. This season, he has only played two games, which is the chance he got because of Petersen’s illness.
Other players who are out of contract at Naturena are Sibongiseni “OX” Mthethwa, Tshareeq Morris and Khanyisa Mayo who is on loan with CR Belouizdad from Algeria.
Morris’s is obvious since he has never touched the ball this season and Mthethwa has been suffering from injuries.
Mayo, who arrived with great enthusiasm, did not reach the expected level. Everything is in the hands of the Chiefs whether they choose to buy him from Belouizdad or let him go back to Algeria.
