It will face the teams it recently played in the second group stage of the World Cup, the Super Eight, the national men’s cricket team.

The Proteas entered this stage by winning all four matches they played in the first group stage, defeating Canada, Afghanistan, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates.

In the Super Eight they were drawn with India, West Indies and Zimbabwe in Group 1. The two teams that will finish at the top of this group will advance to the semi-finals.

The local team will open against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium, in the city of Ahmedabad, India, on Sunday at 3.30 pm.

These teams met in the final of the T20 World Cup in 2024, and India won by seven wickets.

They recently played the T20 series in December last year, India won 3-1.

The Proteas played two matches against Zimbabwe in July last year, winning both, and they recently faced the West Indies last month, winning 2-1.

They will face India and West Indies in Ahmedabad on Thursday, and play the final group game against Zimbabwe in New Delhi on March 1.

India and West Indies have won all four group games and Zimbabwe has also won all three they have played, one of which was ruined by rain.

This means that the local team will face other in-form teams in the tournament.
