11 suspects aged between 27 and 46 were arrested at a gas station in Meyerton by members of the Hawks’ Tactical Operations Management Section on Sunday morning on charges of stealing fuel.
TOMS Hawks members received an intelligence report about a crime that was about to take place at the Meyerton gas depot. The information was properly tracked and the site was monitored closely.
During the surveillance, two tank trucks were seen entering the area, which the initial investigation revealed that something inappropriate happened and there were also suspicions that the guards guarding the area may have contacted the nine arrested suspects.
