The HOLLYWOODBETS Sharks will be coached by one of its key players, Grant Williams, who also plays for the Springboks and has found greener pastures in Japan.

This team coached by JP Pietersen is not sitting well in the log of the United Rugby Championship (URC) but if it can continue with the form it has been going into the Six Nations break, there is a big chance that it will enter the qualifiers for this tournament.

Pietersen’s will return to the top by visiting the Emirates Lions who are behind them on the log as they are tied with 24 points each. The winning team will enter the Top 8.

This game, which is obviously important for both sides, will be held on Saturday at 2 pm, at Ellis Park Stadium, Johannesburg.

The Sharks who recently announced their separation from the captain of the Springboks, Siya Kolisi who is returning to the DHL Stormers, will also part with Williams who came to them in 2018, from school at Paarl Gymnasium.

There are reports that indicate that Williams – whose contract with the Sharks expires in June – has decided not to renew it since he is dating in Japan.

It is said that the Sharks have informed him of his decision not to renew his contract and his desire to try a different life in Japan.

It is said that Williams is currently in Japan with the aim of getting used to the place and the way of life, since from July he will be living in this country where a lot of Bobokhoko are playing.

Coming from Pretoria, they point out that Williams’ colleague in the Springboks, Kurt-Lee Arendse, is also on his way back to Japan, since he has played there before.

Although reports point to them going to Japan at the same time, Williams and Arendse are not going to play for the same team.

Williams is leaving the Sharks, and the story of Lukhanyo Am’s departure from the Japanese Dynaboars, which he joined in November, is still fresh.
