SHIPPED to IFP, a recorded speech has been leaked which is believed to be that of a member of the Legislature party who is heard inciting the beating of his colleagues in a conversation where he was talking to a woman who is heard swearing that she will never wear a t-shirt with the face of the party leader, Mr. Velenkosini Hlabisa.

The recorded speech, which is believed to be that of a member of the Legislative Assembly who is also the chairman of the youth wing of the IFP in KwaZulu-Natal, Mr. Mncedisi Maphisa, has caused a stir within the IFP.

Those who are unhappy want action to be taken against Maphisa after a recorded speech was leaked where he spoke to a woman who is said to be working in the municipality managed by the IFP.

In this conversation, a woman can be heard crying about the program of anointing centers. Those who are speaking sound like they are on the side that does not agree with Hlabisa.

The woman complains that their side is held by the horn and that the leaders who accompany them are even blocked with stones in the streets when they are going to anoint the centers.

It is believed that Maphisa is heard saying that those on their side should not agree to play people on the other side.

“There are many of you Lundi, they are small. You must not be suffocating them. Beat them in the meeting because they are small.”

He goes on to say that someone who is with them should have come and slapped the leader in their side of the meeting.

“They should have come and said, ‘What’s going on here? There’s a slap and a fist, shoot them.'”

A woman can be heard saying that she has been buying t-shirts with the face of a person she calls her father.

It is believed that the t-shirts he mentioned have Hlabisa’s face on them. A woman is heard saying that she will never wear them.

This is not the first time Maphisa has gotten into trouble with a recorded speech.

When he was the mayor of BaQulusini Municipality, he was sacked after a recorded speech with the words he represented was circulated.

Efforts to get Maphisa’s comment were unsuccessful as his phone rang unanswered and he did not answer the question sent to him.

The IFP leader, who asked not to be named, urged the IFP leadership to take disciplinary action against Maphisa.

“What makes people who are so disrespectful not to be taken to task? People speak as they please. This is a shame. His speech does not build and divides the group. He talks about who is afraid of who. And what is the matter here because in politics you put your opinion and others put their opinion?”

The unhappy leader said that there are many bad things that Maphisa should not be talking about as a youth leader in the province.

“There is MKP here that wants to remove the prime minister from office. To see that he is a hero, you should not be talking about that. Young people are unemployed, there are no job opportunities. These are the things you should be talking about.”

The spokesperson of the IFP, Mr. Mkhuleko Hlengwa, did not answer the questions even though it shows that he has read them.
