IBHOKA is kicking the South African Church Defenders, saying it will not fall and be picked by chickens, it will never allow the Commission of Mrs. Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva to control the churches, because of that it suggests that its chairman should be removed from office immediately before things get too messy.

The members of this organization had been marching complaining about the control of this commission. The march was going from King Dinuzulu to City Hall in Durban, on Friday.

When it was introduced years ago, this commission’s work was calledfor the Promotion and Protection of Cultural, Religious and Language Rights in Communities (CRL Rights Commission) which the pastors believe are contrary to what the chairman is doing.

The believers complained about the Section 22 law, which was approved by this commission in October last year. This law favors the commission to look at everything that is not going well within the churches.

The Chairman of this organization, Rev Mpfariseni Mukhuba, In his speech, he said that they do not hesitate to confront the CRL chairman, Mrs. Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva, and then it is clear which one will bend the horn.

He stated that Mrs. MKhwanazi-Xaluva is against the church of God and has the idea that she can do anything to it when she likes it, unfortunately she says that will never happen because they have rolled up their sleeves.

“We will not make the mistake of being silent and watching someone play with the church of God, and then forget about it. We are determined to do everything we can to fight for the dignity of the church of God,” he said.

He went on to ask how it is possible for the kingdom of darkness to control the kingdom of God, which he compared to an original myth.

He said they want to go through all the right channels and see how they can do it to remove Mrs. Mkhwanazi-Xaluva.

“But before he is removed, we want him to be investigated, and then punished for the way he seems to be behaving when it comes to the church of God,” he said.

Professor Theophilus Mukhuba who is Rev Makhuba’s husband said that if the government does not do anything about this conflict between the church and the Mkhwanazi-Xaluva Commission, there is something wrong because what will happen next is the believers who will withhold their vote.

”We have the power we have to show when we are angry. The first is to abstain. This insensitivity is because there are many Christians throughout the country,” he said.

Their complaints were received by the Champlain of KwaZulu-Natal, Apostle Lungu M Magwaza, who was sent by the Prime Minister of KwaZulu-Natal, Mr. Thami Ntuli.

He promised that the Prime Minister’s Office will look into the complaints of believers who are part of this organization as soon as possible.

Bishop Vusi Dube said that the church of God should not be complacent if there are things suggested by some people that seem to be aimed at destroying the church of God.

He said the church must be seen to be standing on both sides because no one else can fight for it unless it fights for itself.

Those who were marching were carrying placards with different inscriptions that Mrs. MKhwanazi-Xaluva was clicking on with different names.

Dube said, however, they understand that it is not easy to say that Mrs. Mkhwanazi-Xaluva has resigned from her position, but there are proper procedures that must be followed.

Bishop Nathi Zondi also said that it is important for God’s church to stand up as one and face all the challenges that hinder its well-being.
