THE ORGANIZER of the Uvukile Gospel Music Festival, Pastor Mjosty has revealed that everything he did at the event on Sunday, at the Sports and Leisure Stadium, in Port Shepstone, he did with his own pocket, which made other things less than expected.

Mjosty spoke as follows that some people who attended the event, wrote on social media that the stage and seating areas were not up to standard for this event. Speaking toOf this country Mjosty said that he doesn’t even know how he should feel since people are criticizing him for the efforts he has made.

“I announced right from the start of this event that we didn’t get any funding, so we did everything from our own pockets. The musicians, the people who gave us the stage and the tents, the security guards, everything was donated by people with whom we have a very good relationship, we didn’t have any money. That’s why things weren’t normal and for that we would like to apologize profusely,” said Mjosty.

He said he has seen people’s comments and asks them to calm down as they are doing everything to ensure that the event continues even though they were facing difficulties as organizers.

“I would like to thank all the people and musicians for coming to this event, we promise that in the future everything will be better than what it is now. My spirit is very damaged by what I feel and since everything was looking at me, there was nothing I could have done alone. All I can say is that I am sad, but something should have been discussed since we are working together in this field,” explained Mjosty.

At this year’s event, history was made by honoring different religious artists with awards that the organizers of the event announced last year. Thobekele, Andile KaMajola group Avante and others were honored with awards at this event for their work in faith music.
