ALTHOUGH it took longer than usual this season, the day of the home match between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates has finally arrived, dividing families, relatives and friends in South Africa.

The form in which Chiefs and Pirates are going in this Betway Premiership game is not satisfactory, but there are players on both sides who can do magic that can benefit these teams with key points and the right to travel until they fool the fans.

We look at three players from each team who could make a difference in this game.

Kaizer Chiefs

Flavio Da Silva: The power he shows every time he is on the field has made him the leading striker in goals this season for Chiefs since he has found the net seven times in all competitions.

Thanks Maboe: The signs of the return of the form he is known for at Mamelodi Sundowns, indicate that he can help Chiefs in this game in the center of the field. Although he has scored one goal in 13 games in all competitions, in recent games he has shown why he has seven league titles.

Brandon Petersen: The growth he has shown since being given the captaincy position is amazing. This makes him talk to his stoppers all the time and make Chiefs one of the teams that have conceded the fewest goals in the league. In 16 league games, he has conceded 11 goals.

Orlando Pirates

Relebohile Mofokeng: Although he did not start the season in the same way as he finished last season, but his recent form since he was given the freedom to play behind the striker, he shows a return to the level he is known for. His free play will be dangerous for the Chiefs as in 23 games in all competitions he has scored four goals and set up five for his teammates.

Oswin Appollis: Since he arrived at the Pirates, he has become one of the references for coming up with good moves when going forward, and he appears again even when it is time to help the stoppers. In 30 games in all competitions, he has scored five goals, creating seven for his teammates. If the Chiefs do not guard him in the horns, he can hurt them as he is strong by catching the ball and going inside.

Sipho Chaine: It is almost unbelievable that the Pirates goalkeeper has refused to concede a goal 12 times in 17 league games. If he continues in this form, there are many chances that he will be the one who gives Pirates full points.
