AN ACTOR who made a name for himself by acting in a leading role in a television show iThank you & The DlaminisLuyanda Zwane, is outraged by the harassment he faced in the entertainment industry.

Luyanda (22), who was Sibongile in this game that was finished, broke out about this difficulty on his page inInstagram. This Mlaza employee revealed that there was another female officer, who did not reveal who she was or what game she was in, who threatened her that she would not work anywhere again if she complained about not feeling well at work.

Luyanda wrote as follows “I was once asked by a woman whoCommissioning Editor that I am serious about being a rights activist or being an actor. He asked me like that because I was fighting for my rights as an actor at the recording studio.”

Luyanda said that the officer told him to his face that he will not work anywhere again and that he will be banned from this acting role and will not be hired again if he continues to fight for his rights.

“(What’s strange) is that he always talks about the empowerment of women every day on social media.”

He said it saddened him to see women who are seasoned in this role are the ones oppressing their colleagues who are still young actors in the field of acting. Luyanda said that young female actors go through trauma in this role.

“They shut our mouths by threatening us that ‘we will never work anywhere again.’ Let me speak for myself. I was being cornered and abused by ‘powerful’ old mothers expecting me to be scared and cold. (Unfortunately) when I came face to face with the giant. You don’t just get wet to the knees and shiver. The future of man is only in the grace of God, not in the palm of the hand of the person who will leave this world.”

Luyanda entered acting after successfully matriculating at Manzimtoti school, Kingsway High.

The way he has matured in this field, you can deny that he has only been in this role for three years. He started acting in television shows in 2022, playing the role of Lelo inDurban Gen and rested onOutlaws.

In 2023 she played the role of Amina in theClassified and Aphiwe Ndima inMiseducation. He first came to prominence when he was Sibongile Mbambo inThank you & The Dlaminis. Moved toShaka Ilembe when he arrived he became a Rabbit. Last year he appeared in the game iSpinners Season 2.
