Councillors are scheduled to meet Johannesburg Water officials on Wednesday afternoon for an update on the water systems four days into planned Rand Water maintenance.
The maintenance is set to be completed by 29 July.
By Wednesday afternoon, suburbs in the west of the city began running out of water as the major Rand Water pump station, Eikenhof, was throttled to allow for maintenance.
