Award-winning English singer Sting, known for hits such as Fields of Gold and Englishman In New York, will tour South Africa in 2025.
The 17-time Grammy Award-winning artist’s STING 3.0 tour will take place at the SunBet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria, on 22 March 2025 and then at the Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town, on 25 March 2025.
Sting will be accompanied by guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas.
The Discovery Bank pre-sale begins at 9:00 on Wednesday, 11 September, from Ticketmaster and will run until 8:59 on Friday, 13 September.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 9:00 on Friday, 13 September, from Ticketmaster or Big Concerts.
Sting was a member of The Police who wrote songs like Roxanne, Every Breath You Take, and Don’t Stand So Close to Me.
Sting previously performed in SA in 2012 and announced another local tour for 2023.
The artist released his last full-length record, The Bridge, in 2021 and has a total of 15 albums in his solo discography. The Police released five studio albums between 1978 and 1983, four of which were honoured by Rolling Stone Magazine in their 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list (2003 and 2012).
