In response to the Multi-Party Charter (MPC), which the DA originally launched as a Moonshot Pact, Zuma is apparently working in the background on establishing a formation in opposition to the MPC, writes Adriaan Basson.

An interesting political development took place last week that could impact the future shape of South African politics.  

There has been a definite toenadering (coming closer) between EFF leader Julius Malema and former president Jacob Zuma’s uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP). The two have openly been making overtures, with Zuma reminding Malema on his birthday that what they needed was a black-led two-thirds majority in Parliament (presumably to change the Constitution).
