Tabraiz Shamsi hit back at critics who consistently complained about his performances, saying it was unfair considering most of them are ex-players who themselves know how tough international cricket is.

Shamsi, who has been a horses-for-courses selection throughout the T20 World Cup, bounced back from his searching 1/50 experience against the United States on 19 June to take 3/27 in South Africa’s narrow three-wicket win over the West Indies on Monday morning.

The win allowed South Africa to qualify for their first T20 World Cup semi-final in 10 years as group winners and eliminated co-hosts West Indies in the process.
