Following news that the local iteration of cook-off competition MasterChef South Africa is returning to screens for a fifth season this month, the first batch of contestants who will battle it out for a sizzling R1 million cash prize have been unveiled.
After previously airing on M-Net (DStv 101), the show premieres on its new home, S3 (formerly SABC 3), on Saturday, 13 July, at 19:30 with repeats on Sundays at 18:30 and Wednesday at 18:00.
Though only seven contestants have been unveiled, 20 home cooks will compete in the show.
