PROMOTERS of the Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF) have announced that the special stage at this festival, Rosies, is planned to host more artists than usual. This year’s festival will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Center for two days on March 27, until the next day.

It turns out that the audience will be entertained by Rosies artists including the jazz legend, Abdullah Ibrahim, beyond the additional payment as was previously the case.

Rosies and Moses Molelekwa are special venues within the ICC and once again, the organizers have assured that a moderate number of spectators will be welcomed and security will be tightened as usual.

There will be a system of tickets available inside which will be one per person to manage security.

“Tickets will be issued at intervals, to ensure that all people benefit.”

Each artist will perform for 30 minutes at Moses Molelekwa, then leave the stage. Other artists who will perform include Jacob Collier from the United Kingdom, Abdullah Ibrahim, Nduduzo Makhathini, Manana, Lordkez, Scopion Kings, Yussef Dayes from the United Kingdom, Jazzwrld and Thukuthela, Sibusiso Mash Mashiloane and many others.

Tickets for the event are still available from Ticketmaster starting at R1 350 for one day or R2 100 for the whole weekend.
