North
West police have discovered what are believed to be the remains of
seven-month-old Keamogetse Setshego, who went missing five years ago.

The
remains were found in a pit toilet this week in Kabe village, near Mahikeng. On
Friday, teams of forensic officials were still sweeping the area in search of
more body parts of the baby.

The
newborn and her then 27-year-old mother both went missing from the village on
29 April 2019. The mother’s remains were found a month later in another pit
toilet in the same area.

Further
investigations revealed that a man’s body was also retrieved from a pit toilet
on 21 April 2019. He was a possible witness to the disappearance of the mother
and her baby.

On
Wednesday, four people appeared in the Molopo Magistrate’s Court in connection
with the murders.
